It’s the fashion trend that won’t go away. I’ve been tight lipped but knew it was time to comment after seeing Rihanna hit the red carpet in an outfit perfect for a luxurious slumber.
Come on designers, what’s going on? Isn’t style meant to be sartorial?
You see, I’m unimpressed because the current trend is too literal a take on the pyjama set.

At least Rihanna looked cool, but that’s because hers was a baggier, less distinct sort of look. What I mean by this is that if the trend wasn’t gaining in popularity and soon to become ubiquitous, you could forgive her for just wearing a satin mannish suit.

So, if you must embrace the trend [sigh], I beg you to either do it like Riri and wear it sloppy, or wear the pieces as separates and make sure you accessorise it with style.
